Membership & Cancellation Policy
Central Coast Astronomical Society members (CentralCoastAstronomy.org) with an ongoing subscription (also called an enrollment or membership) have the right to cancel their subscription and receive a full refund for their annual payment during the trial period (The trial period is 30 days. It begins when you first sign up and submit your first payment). After the trial period, you may still cancel at any time (there is no obligation), but you will not be able to get a refund.
For example, if you paid $20 for the year, you may cancel your membership any time during the year (you can do this by sending an email request). If you want a refund, you must email your refund request to and specifically indicate that you want a refund within the trial period. After the 30-day trial period, NO refunds will be issued. You may cancel at anytime, but you will not be able to receive a refund.
PLEASE, keep track of your subscription. If you want to cancel, do it in a timely way (according to this document). If you are a member, you will be changed annually until you cancel your membership. If you cancel before your annual membership is due, you will not be charged again.
Example: If you signed up on March 1, 2012, your trial period is from March 1 through March 31st. You will be charged again on March 1, 2013 for the following year. If you cancel your enrollment on January 1, 2013, you will not be charged on March 1, 2013 for the annual membership.
Once your membership is cancelled, you will no longer be able to access any of the member’s content on the website, use club scopes, receive newsletters, or attend any of our club events. In other words, you will lose access to all Central Coast Astronomical Society member material and events when you cancel. Your user account will still be on file in case you want to re-activate your membership in the future.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
