Join us for Live Virtual Stargazing – ONLINE – December 8, 2023

This event will occur rain or shine.

CCAS club president Aurora Lipper together with NASA Solar System Ambassador/CCAS club member Brian P. Cox will take you on a tour of the night sky.

Brian will share live telescope views (weather is looking good!) and will provide a briefing on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the International Space Station.

Targets for this event:

  • Helix Nebula (NGC 7293) in Aquarius
  • Saturn Nebula (NGC 7009) in Aquarius
  • Herschel’s Garnet Star (µ Cephei) in Cepheus
  • Pinwheel Cluster (M 36) in Auriga

As part of the presentation, the team will show you how to use Star Charts to help you navigate and find objects. You can download your sky map free here:
Click here to download the current SkyChart (it’s free).

During our time together, you’ll be able to interact with the team, ask questions, and gain insight on objects to search for as you take your star gazing to the next level. It will be like watching a planetarium star show only from your computer screen!

Be sure to invite all your friends – we can accommodate thousands of people!

All you need to join this event is an internet connection. You can use an iPad, personal computer, or YouTube enabled TV.
