This is an amazing feat of engineering! This telescope looks at the sun in a special way – by rotating the 150-ton platform that has all the scientific instruments on it in order to counteract the apparent rotation of the sun that we see from Earth.

Japan’s Hayabusa-2 spacecraft is an asteroid-sampling return0mission spacecraft that follows on the mission a decade ago that returned samples in 2010. Hayabusa-2 was launched in 2014 and could is expected back at Earth in December 2020 with samples! Learn more about it here.
