CCAS is adding a new type of observing event for current members who want a quieter night to observe with their own equipment.
Unlike our public star parties, this event is not a general public viewing night. It is designed for members who are bringing their own telescope, binoculars, or imaging setup to observe.
Our public star parties have grown tremendously, and we love sharing the night sky with the community. However, we also want to make sure CCAS members have opportunities for smaller, quieter observing nights with enough space for setup, parking, dark adaptation, and serious observing.
This event is for current CCAS members only. Members bring their own observing equipment: telescope, binoculars, astrophotography setup, etc. Because space and parking are limited, these nights are not intended for the general public or for spectators. Members who want to attend bring their own observing equipment to set up (even if you’re still learning how to use it).
Location details, instructions, and weather updates will be sent directly to current members by email.
Not a member yet? You are welcome to join CCAS and participate in future member observing nights.
